Geronimo
started his show career winning a 3pt major in December 2001 at the Cleveland
Classic. He
then went on to finish his championship with 4 majors all from the puppies
classes. After
finishing in April 2002 Geronimo took some time off to just be a dog.
During
his time off Geronimo made 1 special appearance at the Miami Valley Vizsla
Club Specialty (Ohio) June 2002. Where he was awarded Best in Sweeps and an Award of Merit
(Only two were awarded) at just 13mths of age. His
next specials appearance was at the Vizsla Club of America's National Specialty November
2002 in Prescott, AZ. where he was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in Sweeps and an
AOM/JAM
- the youngest awarded an AOM at that show. Geronimo is just as stunning in the field as
the show ring. Finishing his Junior Hunter title
in
just 3 weekends he earned his JH with excellent scores. Geronimo
finished the 2004 show year ranked rank #14 for breed points and #20 All Breed
(both stats per Canine Chronicle). Geronimo's show career consisted of
over 35 Best of Breed Wins, 2 Best in Specialty Wins, Several Specialty Award of
Merits, A Specialty Best Puppy in Sweeps, National Best of Opposite in Sweeps
and A National Award of Merit.
As a sire, Geronimo has sired 2 litters. He has 4 Champions with several
other kids in the ring now, He has a daughter with her Junior Hunter Title who
is training for Senior Hunter Title as well as competing in Agility Trials.
Several of Geronimo's kids have followed in their parents footsteps and have
numerous Best of Breed Wins, Best in Specialty Sweeps wins, Winners Dog &
Winners Bitch at Specialties, Best of Breed & Best of Opposite wins from the
classes over top ranked specials. Including his daughter "Twister" (Ch
Stonepointe's Storm Chaser) who on more then one occassion beat her dad for Best
of Breed!
Geronimo & his family now reside in Germany.
A Geronimo Update (3/2008) Geronimo is doing wonderful in Germany! After a few weeks of adjustment to living in Germany he is doing great! He and his 1/2 sister Tacoma are loving the woods and trails they get to run on every day! True to his breeding and Vizsla Nature he is a wonderful big brother to his 3yr old human sister Finya.
